Pathway to Med School is dedicated to helping students maximise their chances of a successful application to study medicine. We run 2-day weekend courses which are uniquely designed to help you stand out from the crowd, whilst also giving you a taste of what studying medicine is all about!

Set up by Dr Michael Anthony, Pathway to Med School will be running courses helping students prepare for 2026 applications in Aberdeen.

Dr Anthony is a General Practitioner in Aberdeen, with a range of clinical experience across the UK, Republic of Ireland and Australia. He helps support residential doctors who are in specialist GP training, as well as supporting medical students throughout University. As well as being a GP, he works in Sports and Exercise Medicine, and carries out minor surgery and vasectomy clinics.

We will help you discover which medical schools are most suited to you, giving a clear overview of how medical degrees differ, as well as discovering lesser known avenues to getting into medicine! You will explore the endless opportunities a career in medicine can give you, hearing from a variety of practicing doctors!

At Pathway to Med School, we take pride in offering you genuine clinical experience! You will get the opportunity to take part in small group clinical tutorials, learning about history taking and clinical examination skills. You will have the invaluable chance to hear from patients, providing a genuine understanding of what medicine is all about - all providing experiences that can help with your personal statement and interviews!
